The Denver Broncos will be without one of the NFL’s best shutdown cornerbacks on Thursday.
Pat Surtain II has been ruled out against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury, the Broncos announced Wednesday.
It will be the second consecutive week that Surtain will sit out after missing Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Surtain, a two-time All-Pro and the 2024 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, went down late in the first half with a non-contact injury and needed to be helped to the locker room in a Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
The 26-year-old has 12 interceptions, two touchdowns and 300 tackles over his six-year career with the Broncos.
